Community councils are voluntary organisations that have a role in law to represent the views of the local community on issues that affect its residents.
If there’s something in the area that affects the community, such as a proposed housing development, licencing application or even improving local facilities – then this is something the community council could get involved in.
Irvine Community Council covers the area surrounding the town centre of Irvine, North Ayrshire. This area takes in the entirety of the KA12 postcode area as well as all Irvine streets on the west side of the A78 and as far south as Gailes. For information on our boundaries please check our boundary information page.
Are you a resident of Irvine within our boundary and interested in finding out more about becoming a community councillor and potentially doing your bit to help your local community?
Perhaps you’ve got a concern about something in the area that you’d like the Community Council to take a look at?
We’d love to hear from you you can Contact Us for more information.
